Alongside Fortnite’s explosive introduction of season 4 and creation of Dusty Divot, the battle royale game also brought a new set of challenges into the fold for week 1. Now, however, week 1 is coming to an end, and the challenges for season 4 week 2 have been revealed. As usual, these challenges require players to complete a variety of tasks for rewards, but unlike season 3, these weekly challenges will go live on Tuesday instead of Thursday.
It seems these challenges leaked over the weekend, so players can be preparing and expecting these challenges to launch tomorrow. Fortnite originally introduced weekly challenges in season 3 and continued to support the fan-favored feature as Season 4 began. It’s worth mentioning that those Fortnite players who have yet to finish the season 4 week 1 challenges have the full season to complete them. Challenges do not expire when the week ends.
This week’s challenges are as follows: search chests in Greasy Grove (0/7), consume Hop Rocks (0/7), deal damage with suppressed weapons to opponents (0/500), dance in front of different film cameras (0/7), search between a Scarecrow, Pink Hotrod, and a Big Screen (HARD) (0/1), explosive weapon eliminations (HARD) (0/3), and eliminate opponents in Tomato Town (HARD) (0/3). Check out the Battle Star rewards below:
While these challenges seemingly follow the same formula as previous weeks of searching, consuming, damaging, or eliminating, it does utilize some interesting aspects of the battle royale game, namely the dancing in front of cameras and consuming the recently introduced Hop Rocks. As season 4 continues and Epic Games introduces new weapons and features, players may expect these new items to somehow manifest in the challenges.
Now, of course, season 4 only begins week 2 tomorrow, so players can be expecting more challenges in the coming weeks. Nevertheless, some players have already begun looking beyond season 4 at season 5 and the possible detonation of a pretty large missile in a new supervillain lair. If true, it will definitely be a real blast to see how Epic Games continues the weekly challenges through season 5.
Fortnite is available now in early access for Mobile, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
