Today, Epic Games officially released what is being called the Infinity Gauntlet mode for its sandbox survival title Fortnite, with fans being able to wield the iconic glove from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to turn into Thanos and wreak havoc upon their enemies. After it was announced, in a seeming bid of reverence for the Limited Time Mode, one fan decided to take it upon themselves to craft an awesome crossover poster celebrating both the Battle Royale release and the film from which the LTM was inspired, Avengers: Infinity War.
As seen in the poster housed in the tweet below from the Twitter user known simply as Plain Ben, the 2D and 3D artist utilized a plethora of assets from Fortnite to assemble what a movie poster would look like should the Epic Games title ever take cues from Avengers: Infinity War and make a leap to the big screen. Plenty of notable skins from the game are on display, with there being nods to the new superhero-styled Carbide outfit, the John Wick-inspired duds, the dinosaur getup, and much more.

While Plain Ben has definitely done his due diligence in creating the above Fortnite and Avengers: Infinity War crossover poster, this is far from the first piece of fan art that commemorates an affinity for the sandbox survival title. As a matter of fact, many other players of the game adore it so much that they’ve taken the time to pitch prospective skins and emotes to Epic, with some being inspired by other properties (like these Mortal Kombat skins), and others being wholly original ventures (such as this evolving werewolf skin).
Taking all of this into consideration, Plain Ben’s creation and the myriad other pieces of Fortnite fan art out there are definitely proof that not only is the Battle Royale title one of the most popular games on the market today, but also that the community surrounding it has loads of talent and artistic skill on-hand. Plus, when one acknowledges the recent winners of Epic’s Replay Royale contest, the Fortnite fan base even has some budding filmmakers in its midst.
Fortnite is available now for iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
