The release of Far Cry 5 is just a few weeks away and the marketing for the game is really starting to pick up. Although the early months were full of very serious, story-driven political trailers, the latest marketing push is more more light-hearted and puts the franchise’s ridiculousness center stage.
Last week’s big trailer was all about Boomer, the game’s animal companion, but this week Ubisoft is revealing the Bill of Rights, according to the backwards world of Far Cry 5. We’ve got to say, this Bill of Rights is just a tad more violent than what we remember from history class.
Here’s a look at the action-packed, violent Bill of Rights trailer…
“Far Cry 5 just re-wrote your rights. Now you have the right to Arm Bears, the right to Flex Your American Muscle and even the right to Blow $&*% Up!
With the Far Cry 5 Bill of Rights, it is your chance to join the Resistance and flaunt your best moves as you take on Joseph Seed and his band of cult followers in Hope County, Montana.”
The trailer doesn’t offer much in terms of plot, but it does an excellent job of showcasing the kind of destruction that players will be able to cause in a few weeks when the game launches and they take to Hope County. The Right to Rain Down Destruction seems particularly appropriate considering the franchise’s violent history.
Despite a delay that kept the game from a February release, Far Cry 5 is on our short list of 2018’s most anticipated games and we can’t wait to dive headfirst into the adventure. Check back when the game launches for guides, tips, and tricks.
Far Cry 5 is set to launch on March 27, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
