Niantic has recently added new customization options for Pokemon GO that allows players to dress up as two of the Kanto region’s most familiar Gym leaders. The announcement was made by Pokemon GO’s official Twitter account, several days after images leaked of the upcoming clothing sets.
Starting today, players can head to the Style Shop and purchase a new set of avatar items inspired by the looks of iconic Gym leaders Misty and Brock. Players who are fans of the Generation 1 Pokemon games and the early seasons of the Pokemon anime, which take place in the Kanto region, are in for a treat as they can now hit the streets and reclaim Gyms as the two memorable characters.
Players must remember that each piece of clothing must be purchased with PokeCoins separately. This means that if players want the full Brock or Misty look, they have to buy both the top and bottom pieces of the outfit. As always, players can top up their PokeCoins either by spending real-world money or by defending local Gyms.

Besides new customization options, there is plenty of other content for Pokemon GO fans to look forward to as well. As the year enters its final month, Pokemon GO players have been patiently waiting for the introduction of one of the most popular Gen 4 Legendaries, which is the Dark-type creature Darkrai. Ever since the addition of Cresselia in the game as a Tier 5 raid boss, players speculated that Darkrai may be the next raid boss to be released in Pokemon GO. Of course, Darkrai’s release is still speculation, so it is best to take the information with a grain of salt until Niantic makes an official announcement.
Lastly, it is worth remembering that a huge Community Day celebration will happen this weekend where all Pokemon that were previously available in past Community Day events will be making a return. Creatures such as Pikachu, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and many others will be featured during the event, which will run from November 30 until December 2. Players can check out our guide on how to prepare for Pokemon GO’s December Community Day Weekend, which provides tons of information and tips for the upcoming event.
Pokemon GO is available now on Android and iOS devices.
