Not too long ago, a retail listing showed that Telltale Games‘ Batman: The Enemy Within was on its way to receiving a port for the Nintendo Switch, with the developer’s Guardians of the Galaxy having also been speculated as getting its own version for the console as well. Now, Nintendo of America has stepped forward to officially announce that entries from both Batman: The Telltale Series and Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will be coming to the Switch.
As seen in the tweet below from Nintendo, while the company didn’t directly reference the titles of Batman and Guardians of the Galaxy as being imminent ports for the Switch, it did allude to their eventual inclusion in the console’s library as “more Telltale Games adventures” are set to arrive on the console. Unfortunately, though, the announcement also lacked an exact time frame as to when fans should expect these and other Telltale titles to come to the Big N’s latest system.

For those unaware, speculation regarding Telltale’s Batman and Guardians of the Galaxy on Switch has been rampant for the past several months, with ports for the titles leaking way back in March by listings from retailers. However, it remains to be seen if these two titles will be the first of the developer’s games to make the leap to the Big N’s console, as it’s also quite possible that a version of The Walking Dead for the system could set the pace for even more ports from Telltale.
All things considered, the eventual addition of Telltale Games’ Batman and Guardians of the Galaxy to the Nintendo Switch’s library is likely to be a boon for both companies. With Telltale’s titles already on a plethora of other platforms, putting more of its games on Switch will be an added revenue stream for the developer. Plus, as far as Nintendo is concerned, expanding its software catalog with a third-party like Telltale will allow it to better market the Switch to consumers.
Telltale Games‘ Batman: The Telltale Series is available now for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, as well as for Android and iOS devices, and Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, as well as Android and iOS devices. Nintendo Switch ports for both are on the way.
