Pokemon GO: How Much Candy/Stardust To Hit Max Level

Pokemon GO is, in many ways, a game about resource management. Trainers are constantly determining the best ways to maximize value out of every piece of candy and portion of stardust. When trying to figure out if it is worth it to max out a high IV meta relevant Pokemon (like Tyranitar), there’s a lot of math to consider.

Luckily, the Pokemon GO community is full of players who love to min max, do a ton of calculations, and share their findings with the rest of the world. To give players a better idea of just how much candy and stardust is required to bring pokemon up to their full potential, one player recently shared a very helpful infographic.

The graph is a clear reminder that taking a pokemon up to level 30 or 35 is a serious investment in resources. Many players have stored over a million stardust at this point, just because they can’t decide on the best way to spend the precious resource.

Obviously, stardust and candy sitting in inventory isn’t doing any good; but spending these massive quantities to hit max level is still very scary. At least with this information, trainers can know what they are getting in for when they decide to start hitting Power Up for a particular monster.

Good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is currently available in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
