It’s Friday which means Destiny 2’s mysterious Agent of the Nine merchant Xur is back once again with a whole new selection of exotic wares. Players with Legendary Shards to spend have plenty of new options this week including more Warmind exotics to pick from.
With the Milestone being on Titan for this week, players should head over that way to find the hooded merchant in his usual spot on The Rig. Upon fast travelling to The Rig, head to the left side of the zone, running under the steps and continuing to walk along the left edge of the platform. Xur is tucked away inside of a building, off the main path towards the Solarium. Pull up the minimap and track his location for the best results.
This week, Xur’s inventory features two Warmind specific exotics for Destiny 2 players. Hunters can pick up Fr0st-EE5, boots making the jump from the first to second game, while Titans can give the Eternal Warrior helmet a go. Unfortunately for Warlocks, Xur has the Wings of Sacred Dawn chest armor, a classic piece that has been in the game since the beginning.
Reintroduced to the game alongside the Warmind expansion, the Fr0st-EE5 boots are mobility enhanced armor. Its exotic perk, Rapid Cooldown, actually speeds up the cooldown process for grenades, melee, and dodge while sprinting. Not only that, dodging increases Hunter sprint speed. While the boots may not be incredibly exotic or cool, the perk definitely has some value as having access to important abilities can sometimes be the difference between life and death.
Wings of Sacred Dawn is chest armor geared towards Dawnblade players which means it’s fairly useless if players are not using that subclass. Tome of Dawn is its exotic perk, suspending Dawnblade players in midair when aiming weapons. The duration can be extended after precision slots. Even with the recent Dawnblade class buff, this is a tough exotic to recommend due to the underwhelming exotic perk and the amount of better options for Warlocks at this point.
For striker Titans, the Eternal Warrior helmet is a cool looking classical Roman or Greek inspired helmet. The resilience heavy armor features Resolute as its exotic perk, granting an overshield to the player when Fists of Havoc is activated. It’s worth grabbing to knock it off of the Fated Engram checklist, but there are better Titan exotics out there.
For the week of June 1, the exotic fusion rifle Telesto is available for purchase. This is a very strong and popular fusion rifle, great at clearing out crowds of enemies. Part of the reason is its exotic perk Unplanned Reprieve. Firing the Telesto launches a series of fusion projectiles that attach and detonate with a delayed Void blast. It’s easily one of the best fusion rifles available in Destiny 2, is superb in PvE, and holds its own in PvP as well.
As expected, Xur has his selection of consumable items including the Fated Engram, Three of Coins, and the Five of Swords as well. As the newest item of the bunch, Five of Swords essentially enables players to increase or decrease the Nightfall difficulty through various modifiers. Increasing the score multiplier can be achieved through enabling various modifiers such as elemental burns which not only makes the mission more challenging but also increases the chance for better loot at the end.
Here’s the complete rundown of Xur’s entire stock for June 1 – 3:
