Fans of Destiny 2 had been wondering what’s next following the end of The Revelry event, but Bungie has been unwilling to go into details about the upcoming season. While many prepared for a month of relative quiet, Bungie surprised the community by bringing back another classic Destiny 1 exotic through a new quest. The weekly reset also brought with it a new emblem for fans to chase known as Quarantine Zone. Here’s how to unlock it.
Thankfully, players won’t have to go too far out of their way as this SIVA stylized emblem can be acquired alongside the highly damaging weapon, Outbreak Perfected. This emblem is tied to the triumph Expedited Exfiltration, which is more or less a time trial challenge that requires players beat the Zero Hour quest with 5 minutes or more time remaining on the clock. The 100 point Triumph is currently listed under Destinations, Minor, and then The Last City.
During the last phase of the quest, players meet up with Mithrax, the Fallen captain at The Farm, to start the final step of the quest called Zero Hour. Similar to Whisper of the Worm, a 20 minute timer appears and requires players make it through a combat and platforming heavy zone before being kicked back to orbit if the timer reaches 0:00. The prize at the end is well worth the struggle, as players receive Outbreak Perfected, a new spin on the original Destiny’s Rise of Iron exotic Outbreak Prime. Running the heroic version and finishing in time then rewards the catalyst as well.
While the requirements to earn the emblem may seem a bit daunting, players have already managed to come up with strategies for overcoming a few of the obstacles. First, the mission features a lot of arc shielded enemies, so bringing a gun like Riskrunner, which is a very strong weapon when dealing with arc damage. Arbalest is also pretty effective at knocking out Fallen Shanks very quickly without worrying about matching elemental damage.
Even though the mission has only been available in Destiny 2 for such a short time, players have already managed to find shortcuts to help save more time at mission end. One big skip takes place once players are outside of the tower after jumping on a hanging yellow crate. Way further down, where the wall turns red, a small platform with flashing lights can be jumped on to where vent access can be reached and preventing the fireteam from following the much slower path down. It’s likely other time saving methods will be discovered the longer the mission remains available.
Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
