Fortnite Offers More Twitch Prime Loot with New Pickaxe

Several weeks ago, Epic Games teamed up with Twitch Prime to offer those with an account to the premium online service some free loot to have in both Fortnite Battle Royale as well as the multiplayer sandbox survival title’s paid portion known as Save the World. Now, in a bid to sweeten the pot for what is dubbed the “Twitch Prime Pack”, subscribers will not only receive the previously revealed items, but also an exclusive Instigator Pickaxe for use in Battle Royale.

Fans can get a look at the Battle Royale Instigator Pickaxe for Fortnite in the image directly below, with the item showing up in subscribers’ inventories starting on Thursday, March 29, 2018. This object is intended to supplement the Twitch Prime Pack’s previously revealed Battle Royale Havoc Outfit and Back Bling, the Battle Royale Sub Commander Outfit and Slipstream Glider, the Save the World heroes Havoc and Sub Commando Jonesy, and the four exclusive Twitch chat emojis.

For those unaware, this isn’t the only instance of Epic Games giving fans who subscribe to a specific online service some extra items, as PlayStation Plus users on PS4 received a free Celebration Pack about a month ago. This particular content drop offered two exclusive items of a glider and an outfit at no additional charge by downloading them through the PlayStation Store.

At this point, Epic Games provides Fortnite fans myriad ways to get unique loot for use in-game, as the Twitch Prime Pack is simply one of many avenues to get gear that will have one standing out from the competition. For instance, the companies recently offered a Starter Pack for $5 that nets players 600 V-Bucks, as well as a couple of different cosmetics. So, taking all of this into consideration, it’s quite likely that the company will continue to generate ideas to supply even more distinctive wares and cosmetics for the game.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS devices, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
