Despite a bit of prior controversy, the Faction Rally is back in full swing in Destiny 2, and Bungie has added in several scannable items that players can find to get some extra tokens. The four scannable items are currently in the game, and players can go to the following locations to scan them.
European Dead Zone: Trostland (In the Widow’s Walk lost sector)
Titan: Siren’s Watch (In the Methane Flush lost sector)
Nessus: Glade of Echoes (In the Carrion Pit lost sector)
Io: The Rupture (Aphix Conduit lost sector)
A Reddit user gives a decent amount of detail for the fourth scannable, for which the poster created a GIF that players can watch for precise instructions. Most of the scannables aren’t necessarily all that well-hidden, though, so a small amount of effort paired with these instructions should make them all easy finds.
Each scannable is worth five tokens for a given character’s pledged faction. They’re valid on each of an account’s characters individually, so users can feasibly get 60 tokens altogether, through scans alone. Destiny 2 has been making use of the Faction Rally once every few weeks since the launch of Destiny 2, as one of many consistent events for the player base.
Whether they’re looking for gear offered by their faction, a chance to side with their preferred faction in the lore, or just some sweet exotic catalysts, Destiny 2 players have a reason to log in and do their grinding for the week. This is the second faction rally of season 3, which was ushered in by the launch of the Warmind expansion.
A winner of the Faction Rally will be chosen at the end of the week, offering a victory weapon at a discount to any who pledged to that faction and at a higher price for non-pledges. On top of the tangible rewards, that Faction will have bragging rights until the next Faction Rally event comes along. In the last event, the black-and-white clad Dead Orbit faction took the lead, with New Monarchy and Future War cult trailing, in that order.
Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
