As this weekend’s Pokemon GO Global Challenge event kicks off in Germany and players around the world watch anxiously to see which rewards are being unlocked, the community of Pokemon GO players at the event are busy catching everything in sight. One of the Pokemon with an increased spawn rate at the event, Roselia, may also be getting some extra attention outside of the event due to the addition of a shiny variant.
Although worldwide chances to catch the shiny Roselia weren’t listed on the possible rewards for the Global Challenge event, it still seems that the little flower Pokemon’s new variant is being caught all over the world this morning. According to the Reddit community, there have been confirmed shiny catches in the U.S. and in other regions.
This seems to confirm that shiny Roselia is now just a part of the game for everyone. Players in Germany are definitely experiencing an increased spawn rate (and potentially an increased shiny rate) for the Pokemon, but it seems that it’s still possible to find a shiny outside of that region.
This weekend’s Global event seems to be a big success so far and players have already unlocked the first tier of rewards for the rest of the community. Hopefully they can keep up the good work and unlock the special Articuno Day, as well. That’s asking a lot, but the group seems to be on pace for a strong finish.
Check back throughout the weekend for more updates from the big event. Until then, good luck out there, trainers.
Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
