A stronger DMR 14 nerf has been deployed for Call of Duty: Warzone


About a week ago, plenty of Call of Duty: Warzone players rejoiced as Raven Software finally heard the cries of dying players all around the world. The all-powerful DMR 14, a weapon that has made its way over from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, was dominating the meta, and changes needed to be made. Its easy-to-manage recoil, effective damage range, and high fire rate meant hell for other combatants, and a fix was deployed to balance things out. Unfortunately, that did not work as well as the developers hoped for. Fans were still unhappy, but now, a second DMR 14 nerf has been pushed out for Call of Duty: Warzone.

The extensive changes being made to the DMR 14 should make the battlefield a more hospitable place. Bullet penetration for the gun has been reduced from a sniper rifle level to an assault rifle level. The DMR 14 will also be less effective at range. Adding to those nerfs, recoil has been moderately increased for the second and third rounds, with the subsequent bullets getting slight bumps.

 

Locational damage has also been tweaked. Headshots do less damage at range, and the same goes for lower torso shots. The addition of a Front Grip will no longer reduce vertical recoil. However, horizontal recoil reduction has increased to 30%. The Field Agent Foregrip will see its vertical recoil reduction decreased to 25%. Horizontal recoil reduction will also decrease to 30%.

Tweaking and fixing

Other changes coming alongside this Call of Duty: Warzone DMR nerf affects the Type 63 marksman rifle, as well as the Diamatti Burst pistol. At a glance, the rifles are shifting more towards the assault rifle class instead of the more powerful sniper rifles.

These weapons can still hit for a ton of damage, however, it requires you to be more in control and up close with your targets. Hopefully, the nerf will help address the overreliance on the DMR 14 in Call of Duty: Warzone.

As an added bonus, the dreaded infinite stim glitch has been addressed as well. Let’s see how long the fix will last this time around.
