Who will you meet this season?

The Character Collection challenges you to find all of the NPC’s scattered across the Fortnite map in Chapter 3 Season 1.

While you’ll meet many by simply exploring the map, some are more elusive and others rotate either their location or their appearance in the match itself, which makes them far harder to find.

Below you’ll learn how to complete your Character Collection and all of the current character locations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1.

Character Collection in Fortnite explained

With every new Fortnite season comes a new selection of characters – be they original Fortnite creations or characters from pop culture. You can find these characters both in the Battle Pass or in a match of Fortnite.

Those characters which appear on the Fortnite map all serve a purpose; from acting as a vendor selling a variety of items or service to acting out a part of the storyline.

The Character Collection is a catalogue of all the characters which are currently appearing in-game during this season. All you have to do to add a character to your collection is hunt them down on the map and talk to them.

It’s important to note that certain characters in Chapter 3 Season 1 won’t appear in every match, so to find them all Pokémon style you’ll have to visit certain locations in different matches until they appear.

Character Collection list in Fortnite

Below you can find all of the characters, along with their locations, which are currently on the Chapter 3 Season 1 Character Collection.

It’s important to note that a number of these characters will only appear in specific matches – only two of the four characters which can appear in The Joneses will appear every match – so, to find them all, you’ll have to visit the same location in multiple matches. Agent Jones, meanwhile, will appear in one of four different Seven Outposts every match.

We’ve put ‘Variant’ next to these characters in the table below, so you know which ones to keep out you.

At the time of writing, to add The Foundation to your Character Collection you need to attack him as he patrols Sanctuary. Be prepared to either run away or have an intense fight when you do so!

Character Collection badge reward explained

You’ll receive a small reward if you complete the Character Collection in Fortnite, but it won’t grant you any Battle Pass XP.

Instead, you obtain a badge in your Legacy catalogue, which can be viewed from the Careers tab in the game’s main hub. You can scroll back and forth through your Fortnite career starting from the beginning of Chapter 2 if you’re a long term player.

It’s currently possible to complete the Character Collection for Chapter 3 Season 1 and receive the badge; you may, however, have to play multiple matches to find all of the characters.

Chapter 3 of Fortnite has arrived with a new collection of Battle Pass skins! There’s a new map to explore, The Foundation skin, earn Victory Crowns, character collection to complete and a new Victory Umbrellato collect.

You can also now slide, web swing, the device locations and open vaults in Fortnite!
