According to Microsoft, Parris Lilly and Kate Yeager will host the Xbox Stream, which will provide “in-depth updates from some of [Microsoft’s] previously announced Xbox Game Studios titles alongside some of our third-party partners.” Xbox fans can tune in to the stream on Twitch, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Gaming, Twitter, and some regional sites. The event will support 30 languages in addition to Microsoft’s “English Audio Descriptions and American Sign Language.” Microsoft wishes “to provide additional accessibility support for the live broadcast in additional languages.”
Keep expectations tempered for those big reveals
Earlier today, Xbox Games Marketing General Manager Aaron Greenberg tempered expectations for the event on Twitter, stating that it will feature “no new reveals or major surprises.” So those eagerly anticipating a Grand Theft Auto VI trailer or some other reveal for an unannounced game will have to wait longer before anything of the sort arises.
Although the gamescom 2021 Xbox Stream will likely not blow anyone’s minds away. However, until later this August, Xbox fans will probably find at least one piece of news to latch on to. As of right now, the Xbox Stream, the Opening Night Live show, and the Future Games Show are the only gamescom events that have been announced, but news about other events will likely be revealed in the coming days.
