This isn’t just any island. It’s a private island, owned by a very private individual. A cartel kingpin, no less. Your mission is to break in and get some “valuable evidence” all while lifting as much priceless artwork, gold, and drug money as you can carry. Did I mention the secret submarine base? Yeah, and who knows how that’s going to play into this action packed endeavor. It might be your escape route though, because the enemies look to have military grade weapons, vehicles, and equipment. Even Trevor might need to think carefully about this one.
Go as a team or slip in solo
Cayo Perico will be the first time in GTA Online where you don’t need other players to start a Heist. You can do this as a team, or simply go in alone if you see yourself as the James Bond type. Rockstar calls this the largest adventure yet though, so it might be worth sharing the experience. It would be a bit strange if you took to the dancefloors all by yourself, because there will be tons of new music to vibe to in this expansion. You can also expect new vehicles and tactical weapons. The submarines sound particularly cool though. The real question will be if there are dancefloors in the submarines. That’s clearly what this game needs.
The Cayo Perico Heist arrives in GTA Online on December 15.
