How to complete the Collection Challenge and Spring into Spring Event’s field research tasks

How to complete the Spring themed Collection Challenge.

The Spring into Spring event has begun in Pokémon Go, bringing us both the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge and exclusive field research tasks.

As the name suggests, Collection Challenges involve hunting down and catching a specific list of Pokémon which are connected to the event’s theme, which, in this case, is spring.

These Pokémon can be found in the wild, by winning raids, completing field research tasks and other activities. Once you’ve caught all of the required Pokémon, you’ll be able to collect a number of useful rewards.

Everything else you need to know about the Spring into Spring event in Pokémon Go

Pokemon_Mega_Lopunny

Aside from the new Collection Challenge and exclusive field research, the Spring into Spring event in Pokémon Go sees the release of Mega Lopunny.

This normal and fighting-type Mega Evolution will appear in Mega Raids throughout the event, giving you enough time to collect the Mega Energy to Mega Evolve a Lopunny of your own.

It also wouldn’t be a true Spring into Spring event in Pokémon Go without everyone’s ‘favourite’ costume, the flower crown, making an appearance.

Flower Crown Pichu, Pikachu and Eevee have all returned to either the wild or eggs, while the Chansey evolution line have also received their flower crown coronation.

You can hatch flower crown Happinys from 2km eggs and catch flower crown Chanseys in the wild. If you decide to evolve one of these flower crown Chanseys, then you’ll receive a flower crown Blissey. (We deserve a separate Pokémon storage for the flower crown Pokémon…)

All of Chanseys evolution line now have a flower crown costume.

There will also be a range of spring-themed Pokémon appearing more frequently in the wild, including:

Collection Challenges can be found on the ‘Today View,’ which is accessed by pressing the field research button (the little binoculars) in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Depending on whether you’ve been looking at your current field or special research tasks, you may have to scroll to your left.

After accessing ‘Today View,’ you’ll find a list of the Pokémon you need to catch to complete the Collection Challenge. Catching a Pokémon in the Collection Challenge rooster will tick it off the list to keep track of which ones you’ve caught and which you haven’t.

Remember – the Collection Challenge must be completed before its associated event ends and it vanishes forever.
