Where to find the new Gen 6 Pokmon in Sustainability Week.
Binacle is the headlining Pokémon for Sustainability Week – the current in-game event for Pokémon Go.
With the arrival of Binacle, you’ll also be able to add it’s evolution, Barbaracle, to your Gen 6 Pokédex.
Binacle will be spawning in the wild throughout Sustainability Week, but, if you’re having trouble finding one, then it will be making an appearance in raids and as a research task reward.

How to get Binacle in the latest Pokémon Go event
Binacle, along with its evolution Barbaracle, are the latest Gen 6 Pokémon to debut in Pokémon Go and their release is part of the Sustainability Week event.
While Binacle is available in the wild, they may, like previous Gen 6 Pokémon, be rather hard to find. Thankfully, there are a number of other ways to catch a Binacle during the event.
You can find Binacle during Sustainability Week event by:
If you’re having trouble finding Binacle in the wild, then your best chance of catching one is to either defeat it in a raid or complete the Sustainability Week timed research quest.
While Binacle will most likely continue to make appearances after the event ends, the distribution of new Pokémon continues to be hard to predict. For this reason, we highly suggest catching at least Binacle during Sustainability Week; this way you can have it as your Buddy and collect enough candy to evolve it into Barbaracle.
The Season of Legends is here! The latest events include the Great League Remix and Sustainability Week, the latter seeing the debut of Binacle and Barbaracle. With it comes a level cap increase – including the addition of XL Candy, the Legacy 40 Challenge quest and boosts to some XP sources – Platinum Medals, the arrival of Gen 6 Pokémon such as Espurr and changes to the Go Battle League
We’ve recently seen the addition of ‘Strange’ red eggs and new Arlo, Cliff, Sierra and Giovanni line-ups.
Binacle evolution Barbaracle in Pokémon Go explained
If you want to evolve Binacle into Barbaracle in Pokémon Go, then you’ll need to collect 50 Binacle Candy.
Both Binacle and Barbaracle are rock and water-type Pokémon in keeping with their barnacle inspiration.
If trained correctly, then Barbaracle could be a good choice for the Great League, as it would have a slight advantage over Skarmory, Alolan Marowak and Umbreon, which are popular choices for this league.
You’re most likely, however, going to be catching these Pokémon to fill in your Pokédex, so make sure you catch a couple of Binacles before Sustainability Week ends!
