In a tweet announcing the great news, Netflix told everyone that the White Wolf awaits fans back on The Continent. Of course, it would not be complete without a photo of a satisfied Cavill to get the fans hyped –that injury definitely healed nicely.
This tweet follows several sources that had more or less confirmed that Season 2 of The Witcher was done.
Hair and makeup artist Jacqueline Rathore was one of them. She had shared an Instagram story showing that decks had been cleared. The filming was apparently completed as of March 31, so now we will just have to wait and wonder when Geralt will appear on our screens yet again.
Redanian Intelligence, a website that provided us with the first few looks at the Wild Hunt, had also shared information. The website shared images of gifts that Cavill had bestowed upon the rest of the cast and crew. If he’s still offering, I would also love a gift from Geralt, but I suppose I will just have to wait for the incoming The Witcher Season 2 in the meantime.
As for plot developments in Season 2, speculation is already rife. Netflix has shared the general gist of the season. Geralt will be bringing Ciri back to Kaer Morhen for protection, with him believing that Yennefer is lost forever. This should make things very interesting in The Witcher Season 2. Hopefully, Netflix will be sharing the release date real soon.
