Pokemon Go players can hunt for Sneasel in an upcoming Limited Research Event | Articles

Niantic has announced a new Limited Research event today that is set to take place later this week alongside the impending arrival of a new Timed Research, which kicks off tomorrow. The former will focus on Sneasel whilst the latter will see players completing a series of tasks that will eventually lead to an encounter with Ho-Oh.

The Limited Research featuring Sneasel will take place on Saturday, January 30th from 8 am to 10 pm local time. During these hours, players will be able to complete a series of tasks that will lead to numerous encounters with the Sharp Claw Pokemon. There’s also a possibility that you’ll run into a Shiny Version of Sneasel too, so be on the lookout for a pink variation and the signature sparkles.
Meanwhile, from tomorrow, January 26th, to Sunday, February 7th there will be a Timed Research Event for players to complete. This will be Team Go Rocket-themed and will see players completing a series of tasks that ultimately lead to an Encounter with a Ho-Oh that knows Earthquake. It will start at 10 am local time before concluding at 8 pm on February 7th.
Elsewhere, in the Go Battle League, players will be able to compete in the Love Cup. This is set to run from February 8th to February 15th. This setup only allows the use of red or pink Pokemon that have 1500 CP or less. Additionally, Legendary and Mythical Pokemon are not eligible to participate. For a full list of the Pokemon that are able to take part in this Cup, head on over to Pokemon Go’s official website.

Pokemon Go is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It’s a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
