The Panzer Dragoon: Remake‘s key selling points are the updated graphics and controls, though you will also be able to pursue achievements as you play as well. This game is definitely going to be a trip down memory lane for many, but if you’ve never played a good rail shooter, you may want to give this one a go. It’s true that the game looks vastly different from the original, but if it’s realism you like, this will suit you fine. It still retains that retro feel, and the only thing MegaPixel did to alter the gameplay was to tighten up the controls and aiming. It runs very smooth now too, with modern framerate support and 1080p. Not bad for a game that’s nearly 25 years old.
Fly high and low in the skies
Another nifty thing about the release version of the Panzer Dragoon: Remake is that it will work with modern controllers. However, for that full nostalgic experience, grab a Saturn gamepad for PC. Overall this iteration controls much better than the original, and it’s very responsive to input. So, go ahead and take up this old school challenge to see if your l33t 2020 gaming skills can match what the ’90s has to throw at you. There’s plenty of cool sights to see along the way.
