The best mini-ITX case can provide top performance and house some of the finest PC builds without taking up your entire desk. Space is everything, so being able to pack what you need into a mini-ITX tower will take some work, but we’re here to make sure you choose the right one.

There’s a lot to consider when choosing a mini-ITX case. Like we mentioned before, space is going to be a scarcity. You won’t have room for multiple graphics cards or a stack of SSDs. Proper cable management is going to be your friend through the entire process. The components you choose also need to smaller so they can fit into a mini-ATX motherboard. If this is your first build, consider saving yourself a headache and work with a mid-tower case, which will give you more room to work with.

A mini-ITX case is certainly an option if you want to build a budget gaming PC and will offer the same kind of feature set as an ATX build. As an example, mini-ITX Z390 motherboards usually come with 802.11ac wireless networking (Wi-Fi 5) and should fall under a similar price bracket. You’ll want to consider your components carefully, however, as you’ll have much less room to expand in the future. A little research should eliminate most potential problems and ensure your machine can handle demanding games for the next few years.

We’ve looked at a vast number of mini-ITX cases and listed our favorites below. They’re not in any particular order—case preference is relatively subjective—but we’ve included their best-use scenarios to help make your decision easier. You should also note that stock is low on some of the more popular cases. Keep checking here for when they do become available for purchase.
