The Pokémon Players Cup IV Qualifier Online Competition Has Begun

The time has come for Pokémon
Sword
and Pokémon Shield Trainers who have successfully registered for the Pokémon Players Cup IV Qualifier to begin competing. These battles
should be particularly exciting, as Trainers are permitted to have a single usually
ineligible Legendary Pokémon on their team. Masters Division players will have
a shot at moving on to the Pokémon Players Cup IV Region Qualifiers, and all
qualified participants will earn 50 Battle Points. Battles will continue through
Sunday, April 11, 2021, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

The Pokémon Players Cup IV Qualifier Online
Competition will be
comprised of Double Battles, and your Battle Team cannot have more than one of
the same Pokémon or item. Only Pokémon obtained in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield or those with the battle-ready symbol are eligible. Your Battle Team may
also include one Legendary Pokémon from this list: Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh,
Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem,
Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Zacian,
Zamazenta, Eternatus, or Calyrex.

Please note that some Pokémon are still ineligible and cannot be used
in this event. These Pokémon are Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Victini, Keldeo,
Genesect, Diancie, Volcanion, Magearna, Marshadow, Zeraora, Meltan, Melmetal,
and Zarude.

The following numbers of Trainers from these regions will advance to the next round.

  • North America rating zone (US and Canada): 256 players

  • Europe rating zone (Europe): 256 players

  • Latin America rating zone (Latin America and Caribbean): 256 players

  • Oceania rating zone (Oceania): 128 players

Following the
conclusion of the Pokémon Players Cup IV Qualifier Online Competition,
Trainers who have earned the opportunity to advance to the Pokémon Players Cup
IV Region Qualifiers will be notified via the email attached to their Pokémon
